The History Book on the Shelf Is Always Repeating Itself

Years ago I wrote a screenplay set in a barely disguised Austin called Waterloo (Austin's original name) that wove all sorta barely disguised Austin people, places and things into a semi-political thriller with a reporter hero. It was ambitious and not good, and I've off and on over the years toyed with turning it into a novel called Waterloo that would be ambitious and good. I think I managed to get 20 pages into it once.

Anyway, now there's this. And I am bummed out. Oh well. No one stopped me from actually writing it when I had the chance.
